Inviting people and assigning roles

You add people to your team, and change what they can do, from the team page in Settings. You need the Admin role to do this.

Invite someone as an admin

  1. Go to Settings and open the team page.
  2. In the Admins section, click Add admin.
  3. Enter their email (or pick someone already in your directory) and choose the role to give them.
  4. Send the invite. They get an email to join, and once they accept they appear in your Admins list with that role.

Every role has its own link, which is handy for onboarding several people at once.

  1. Find the role in the Roles section of the team page.
  2. Click its Copy invite link button. You'll see "Invite link copied."
  3. Share the link. Anyone who opens it and joins lands directly in that role.

Change or remove someone's access

  1. In the Admins section, find the person.
  2. Open the role dropdown next to their name to switch them to a different role. The change takes effect immediately.
  3. To remove them, choose Remove from that same dropdown and confirm. They lose dashboard access, and any tab access links they were using are revoked too.

Good to know

  • Be careful with Admin. An admin has full control of your whole account, including settings, billing, and managing the rest of the team.
  • You can't remove the last admin. There must always be at least one, so you can't remove your own admin access if you're the only one.
  • Changing a role doesn't notify the person. Let them know if their access changed.
  • Just need to hand off one area? Give tab access instead of a full role. See Giving someone access to just one tab.
