Create a church

Create a church in one step. Add its name and choose a public web address; you can add a logo, location, and website now or later.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to your Churchday account first. Any signed-in person can create a church.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Create a community. Use the church switcher or a Create a community link to open the setup page.
  2. Enter a Community name. Add a Community logo if you have one.
  3. Choose Your URL. Churchday suggests a public web address from the name. A green check means it is available. If it is taken, choose another suggestion or edit it yourself.
  4. Add a location, if you like. Under Where is your community?, search for a place or address and select a suggestion. Churchday fills the address details automatically. You can edit the Display name used on your Church page when no service location is set. If search cannot find the place, choose the custom location option and add a mailing address later in Settings.
  5. Add a Website, if you have one. This is optional.
  6. Click Create. The button is available once your community name and public web address are ready. You land on the dashboard.

Good to know

  • You can check or change the full address later under Settings > General. The physical address fields also supply your church's email footer; the display name does not replace them.
  • Want a fully branded address like pages.yourchurch.org? You can connect a custom domain later from Settings.
  • Members are the people who attend and RSVP. You invite admins and staff separately once you're set up.
