Adding Attendees to Repeating Events

When you add someone to a repeating event, choose which dates they should attend. The same choices apply to One person and A tag.

Before you begin

You need permission to edit events. A tag also requires access to People.

Choose the dates and people

  1. Open the event's Attendees tab and select the date you're working with.
  2. Click Add attendee. Under Which dates?, choose:
    • This date, the default, adds the person only to the selected date.
    • This and following dates starts at the selected date and continues afterward.
    • All upcoming dates includes upcoming dates before the selected date too. Past lists stay unchanged.
  3. Choose One person or A tag. Search for a person or enter a new email. For a tag, review who can be added and who needs attention first.
  4. Choose Confirmed or Waitlist. Confirmed can exceed attendee limits and includes dates closed to public signup. The warning checks a limited set of upcoming dates; standing registration continues beyond that preview.
  5. Complete any required questions when adding one person, then click Add attendee or the button showing how many people will be added. Tag additions leave questions unanswered.

Good to know

  • Existing replies for individual dates, including declines, stay as they are. Cancelled dates are skipped.
  • A person already registered for the range keeps their existing status. Adding them again does not change their answers.
  • Paid events and events with signup settings that differ by date require individual date additions. Some rescheduled series also require individual additions to protect historical lists.
  • An older registration without a date, or an existing registration with conflicting status, guests, or payment details, may need individual review before adding more dates.
  • If the connection fails, keep the window open and try again. Churchday checks the previous addition before making another one.
  • No registration confirmation email is sent by this action. Existing automations may still send messages.
